William Powell is the visionary founder of the We Are 1 Movement, an organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities through a comprehensive and structured approach. Their strategic initiatives enable community members to take control of their environments while uniting for positive change. Their key focus areas include Education, Food insecurity, HOusing, and health care.
He is also the founder of the Player 1 Academy , an AI-Centered, Mentoring, Educational, Virtual Reality, and Community Initiative, as a S.T.E.A.M.-centered facility, the Player 1 Academy focuses on integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics into every aspect of our program.
Mr. Powell is also a founding member of The Collective, an organization with a mission to empower Black professionals, emerging Black leaders, and the Black community. They foster growth through leadership training, offering tailored programs that equip individuals with the skills to thrive in their careers. By connecting members through networking opportunities, we cultivate a strong, supportive community where ideas and resources are shared. Additionally, our focus on advocacy ensures that voices from our community are heard, driving meaningful change and creating pathways for lasting impact.
William is also the app creator, spokesperson and the face of The Digital Green Book (DGB) app. An app that is a comprehensive resource for the Black and Brown communities, providing access to key information, events, technology updates, business resources, and social connectivity that is tailored specifically for the black and brown community.
